A Beautiful Day at Herman D. Lowery Field

Welcome to the Pekin R/C Club Website

Welcome! The Pekin R/C Club has been in the area since the late 60's, providing both old and new R/C pilots with instruction, resources, fellowship, and a beautiful place to fly.

No matter if you're just curious about the hobby, if you or your kid just got a new 'Drone' or airplane, or if you've been building and flying since dirt was shiny and new, you've found the right place. We encourage you to visit our club facilities and let us get you in the air the safe way. Our members are knowledgeable and more than willing to help out any newcomer to the hobby. Got some questions? We usually have answers for you, just ask. Members can normally be found at the field about any day of the week when the sky is blue and the wind isn't blowing too hard. Mornings and early evenings are usually the best times to come out to the field. There are a few requirements to fly at our field, with the primary rule being that you must be a member of the Acadamy of Model Aeronautics (AMA), which provides the required insurance. Take a look around the site where you can find information regarding the club history, take a look at our latest newsletters, review our field rules, find a map to Pekin Park District Dirksen Park where the field is located, look at schedules for our club meetings and upcoming events, and links for all kinds of R/C related information.
